Airport , Graz 2001 Print E-mail

Thanks to the development of the southern line of ÖBB (Austrian Federal Railways) Graz airport will be one of the few where one can step directly off the train and onto the plane. Our goal was to achieve a building that combines these two functions and at the same time takes up the broad plain of the surrounding landscape. This led us to design a new two-in-one typology underneath a carpet of floating landscape. As landscape is infinite, the new terminal can be enlarged as much as is required.
