Expert's process 2nd price

The focus of this project is the new Höchstädtplatz as a contemporary urban space. This new square thanks to its size and proportions alone is able to place an urban accent.

Through its function as a provider of identity it assumes the functions that an urban square must fulfill in diversified present-day society by means of zonings and networks. The new Höchstädtplatz is a single square and a cultural symbol, but at the same time it is also a number of squares with many very different functions. Where these functions overlap a group of spaces is created that not only allow but actually encourage communication.
