The response to the requirement that the trade fair tower should be visible from many different angles and to the specific shape of the site produced a striking major form: the signature. It takes the direction of Ausstellungsstrasse as its starting point and transform the building in a wave-like form towards Vorgartenstrasse. "Urban niches" set back from the street are created, they leave room for trees worth preserving and, in front of the entrances, can be used as a waiting area.

The signature transforms above third floor level into individual fan-shaped building volumes, that offer a sequence of views, the "cinematic frames". The building height reduces dramatically from 34.7 meters on Ausstellungsstrasse to the subway station. In this way it reacts on the one hand to the height of the existing buildings while on the other hand exploiting the different depths of the public space. The individual building elements have an average depth of 16 meters and simple circulation cores, allowing them to be used in a variety of different ways.
