The commission was to produce a new master plan for the Vienna International Fair. A new type of hall was devised in which the entrance level is elevated from the ground to a floor above. Looking down while entering produces a fifth facade, the roof of the stands in the fair. The vast overview offered gives visitors space to breathe and a chance to plan their visit before descending into the bustle of the sprawling fair. The concept was developed together with Heinz Neumann, who also executed the final scheme.
