Base data: A triangular site with a magnificent view of Vienna. The first reading of the building codes seemed to prohibit any kind of building whatsoever. A second reading of these regulations made us convince our client to buy this "useless", (and therefore inexpensive) site. There followed a commission to design a building that would house both the owner's apartment and a dental lab. Taking the wonderful view as our point of departure we fixed a camera to a fishing rod and took photos of the many possible views from spaces that, as yet, did not exist. The spaces and functions were then defined and built around these potential views. The final scheme was developed through models and numerous discussions with the client.
